సుప్రసిద్ధ మానవ వాద మెజీషియన్ జేమ్స్ రాండీతో ఇండియా నుంచి ఉత్తర ప్రత్యుత్తరాలు జరుపుతుండేవాణ్ణి. ఆయన రచనలు ముఖ్యంగా ఫెయిత్ హీలర్స్ ( faith healers)వంటివి చదివాను. ఆయన వెబ్ సైట్ నిత్యమూ పరిశీలిస్తుంటాను. 1998 లో వాషింగ్టన్ లో స్మిత్ సానియిన్ మ్యూజియమ్ లో ఆయన కార్యక్రమానికి వెళ్లాను. చక్కగా ప్రసంగించి మేజిక్ చేసి చూపారు. అప్పుడే తొలిసారి కలిసి మాట్లాడాను. ఇండియాలో పర్యటించమని ఆహ్వానించాను. కార్యక్రమాలు ఏర్పాటు చేసి ఖర్చులు పెట్టుకుంటే వస్తామన్నారు. కాని ఆ పని చేయలేక పోయాను. యూరి గెల్లర్ వంటివారి మోసాలను క్రైస్తవ ప్రచారకుల మత వ్యాపారాన్ని ఆయన బట్టబయలు చేశారు. 5 కోట్ల రూపాయలు అవార్డు ప్రకటించి హోమియోపతి నుండి జ్యోతిష్యం వరకు శాస్త్రీయమని రుజువు చేయమని ఛాలెంజ్ చేశారు. కొందరు ప్రయత్నించి విఫలం కాగా మరికొందరు సాహసించి ముందుకు రాలేకపోయారు. ఫ్లారిడా రాష్ట్రంలో ప్లాంటేషన్(Plantation) కేంద్రంలో జేమ్స్ రాండీ శిక్షణ ఇస్తూ, పర్యటనలు చేస్తూ శాస్త్రీయ పంథాను బాగా వ్యాపింపచేస్తున్నారు. వయస్సు మీదపడుతున్నా పట్టుదలగా తన పని చేసుకుపోతున్నారు. చైనాప్రభుత్వం ఈయన్ను ప్రత్యేకంగా ఆహ్వానించి అక్కడి మూఢనమ్మకాలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ప్రచారం చేయించడం పేర్కొనదగినది.

At JREF, we offer a one-million-dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event. The JREF does not involve itself in the testing procedure, other than helping to design the protocol and approving the conditions under which a test will take place. All tests are designed with the participation and approval of the applicant. In most cases, the applicant will be asked to perform a relatively simple preliminary test of the claim, which if successful, will be followed by the formal test. Preliminary tests are usually conducted by associates of the JREF at the site where the applicant lives. Upon success in the preliminary testing process, the "applicant" becomes a "claimant."
